Arlington Capital Improvements Program Budget Include Arlington Boathouse!

We are pleased to report that the County Board unanimously voted on Saturday (7/17/21) to approve the County Manager’s proposed Capital Improvements Program budget for FY 22-24 which includes funding for the Arlington County boathouse project! The budget includes planning funds “…given the progress and momentum with our federal partners on this generational project.” The funding falls under the Parks and Recreation Program heading of the budget. Report from County Board’s website can be found Board_Report_64_A._Posted__07-17-2021.

This is exciting news for the project and the beginning of a new phase of “real” work for ABF. We’ll be supporting the County in defining the facility and the mix of operating programs that would generate broad community support, and leading a successful fund strategy to finance and fund the capital and operating budgets needed using public and private funds.
